Janice established Southside Pet Hospital in 2008 and Sixteen Mile Veterinary Clinic in 2016 with the assistance and design expertise of her husband Brian. Dr. Honda graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992 and completed Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She then practiced as an associate veterinarian in Burlington for 15 years before opening Southside. She and Brian are the proud parents of 3 sons: Jack, Ben and Joseph. The family is completed by Stanley the Labradoodle and Stella the Doberman Pinscher. When she’s not watching the boys play hockey Janice can be found in her favourite Pilates studio, hiking with her dogs or trying to improve her golf game.
Dr. Gibbs was born in Chicago and grew up in New York. She has Bachelor's Degrees in biology and theater from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia, and a Masters in Wildlife Science from North Carolina State University. She graduated from the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and moved to Canada to pursue a veterinary career. Diana joined our Southside team in 2015 and our Sixteen Mile team in 2016. She is particularly interested in neurology, behaviour, and nutrition, as well as exotic pets such as birds, lizards, guinea pigs, rabbits, and ferrets. She shares her home with humans Chris and Erin, dog Shenzi and cats Nephythys and Qebui.
Dr. Bilé has grown up loving animals both large and small from a young age. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020. Inspired by the human-animal bond, Dr. Bilé found her passion in companion animal medicine and has a strong appreciation for the role pets have as members of the family. Dr. Bilé lives in Halton with her black lab, Theo, and Shi-Poo, Olive and three-legged cat, Mog. Outside the clinic, Dr. Bilé enjoys spending her free time hiking, reading, cooking, and growing her collection of houseplants.
Jackie is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been a part of our Sixteen Mile team since we opened in 2016. Along with being a graduate of the University of Guelph and Thompson Rivers University, Jackie has over 14 years of experience in the veterinary industry and a passion for working with animals of all sizes. She lives in Grimsby with her husband, Frank, daughter, Madison, her two cats, Titan and Taters, and dog, Ranger. In her spare time, she is a world traveler, and is often seen at many hockey games.
Ashley is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Sheridan College in 2016 and joined our Sixteen Mile team in 2017. Prior to working for Sixteen Mile Veterinary Clinic, Ashley worked with Lions Foundation Dog Guides for 6 years, where she obtained many of her dog handling and behaviour skills. Ashley is the proud owner of a fluffy orange Tabby cat named Oliver. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness, food and photography.
Tracey graduated from Seneca College in 1992 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She joined the Sixteen Mile team in 2019. Tracey has a mixed breed dog, Bindi whom she adores. During her free time, she enjoys hiking and taking the opportunity to spend time outside. She is also an avid runner.
Kerri grew up in Burlington and enjoys living in the neighbouring community of Waterdown. She graduated from McMaster University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Pursuing her interest in health care, she returned to school at the Canadian Therapeutic College and enjoyed a career in registered massage therapy for the past 22 years. She has always had a passion for the outdoors and animals. She enjoys spending her free time training and competing in triathlons as well as hiking and trail running. Kerri is comforted in coming home every day to her husband, Jay, teenage daughters, Allie and Jessie, and their trusty and beloved boxer, Wallace.
Lisa joined our Sixteen Mile team when we opened in 2016. A graduate of the University of Waterloo, Lisa has diverse business and customer service experience and loves helping our clients and patients to enjoy their visits with us. Passionate about pet health and wellness, Lisa provides pet sitting services and volunteers for animal rescues in her spare time. She always has a special place in her heart and her home for senior pets needing to be rehomed. Lisa enjoys, yoga, reading, music and caring for her rescue dog, Zelda, foster dog, Maddy, and her always-entertaining cat, Forest.
